Bahamas win ICC Americas Division 2 Championship

Bahamas romp to their forth outright victory and to a place in the ICC Americas Division 1 Championship scheduled for March in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. At this tournament if they can place in the top two, they will be promoted to the ICC World T20 Qualifier.
The Bahamas were sent into bat after play was delayed, due to a damp spot on the southern end of the ground and play was held up for an hour and forty minutes. With the recalculations and time available, the game was reduced to 13 overs per side. Bahamas lead off with Marc Taylor who immediately got to work on the tiring the Turks & Caicos bowlers. Taylor, with a belligerent 76 from 32 balls, including nine 4?s and five 6?s, and Jonathan Barry (53) from 28 balls with six 4?s and three 6?s put together a century stand that delighted the local crowd and cruise ship spectators. The pair added 117 for the third wicket and took the host to a mammoth total of 161/6 from 13 overs.
The Turks & Caicos innings never got started to chase a total of this size and only two batsmen got into double figures, Damian St Ange who had 36 runs and Garvin Bruno with 31 runs. The Turks and Caicos Islands finished at 106/8 from 13 overs.
Under rare circumstances the afternoon match was also delayed due to mechanical problems of the roller which left it stranded on the pitch. A crane was called into remove the machinery and the match was reduced to 15 overs per side. Belize won the toss and elected to bat and finished their innings at 103/9. Belize came out victorious against Argentina by 7 runs.
